(Hagerstown, MD - July 18, 2005) Aviation Resources DE, Inc. (ARDI), a firm specializing in aviation modification, installation and maintenance services, is expanding its operations in Washington County.

Based at Hagerstown Regional Airport (HGR), the company is constructing a two-story, 12,665 square foot addition to one of its hangars located at 18635 Jarkey Drive. The project will accommodate ARDI's need for additional office space and conference room capabilities.

The expansion also includes the repainting of both of the company's hangars on Jarkey Drive and the resurfacing and lining of a parking area adjacent to the complex. Estimated cost is $1.5 million. Callas Contractors, Inc. of Hagerstown has begun construction on the project and expects completion by December 2005.

In addition to physically expanding its operation, ARDI plans to hire 25 new employees over the next two years.

"ARDI has been an important part of Washington County's aviation industry, and a valuable member of our business community since 1993. We are very excited to see them growing their operation again and demonstrating their commitment to Washington County and the Hagerstown Regional Airport. ARDI provides good paying, highly skilled jobs for the citizens of our community," said Timothy R. Troxell, CEcD, executive director, Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission. ARDI is an FAA-certified PART 145 repair station specializing in aircraft technical management, quality control/assurance, engineering, design, development, analysis and documentation, mechanical manufacturing and electrical assembling. Sierra Nevada Corporation, an agile and innovative systems integrator specializing in the design, development, production, installation and servicing of defense electronic systems, acquired ARDI on June 10, 2005.
